Switch's most recent son, Rippletrix Hell Raiser (born February 2026 by Zombie, Rewind's daughter), continues Kate's line-crossing programme that pulls Switch's Blades Meadows working sheepdog blood into the Fellspirit show-line. Every pup produced from Switch is fully health tested to the recognised working-Border-Collie panel (hips, elbows, eyes, CEA, TNS, CL, MDR1, IGS), BVA eye tested and BAER tested before leaving the yard. Rippletrix Border Collies — Kate Clapperton, Sheffield. KC Assured Breeder producing dual KC and ISDS-registered working Border Collies for thirty years, alongside show-line KC-registered Border Collies. Veterinary physiotherapy background informs a strong emphasis on early orthopaedic conditioning and lifelong soundness. Rippletrix is built on three foundation lines Kate spent years researching and combining, chosen — in Kate's own words — for health and temperament first. The Psyfer / North Yorks red-and-tri working line (now carried by Switch, Bane and Trinity) was chosen because the dogs were well-loved, healthy, health-tested, well-exercised, with fantastic conformation. The Fellspirit KC show-line came in via Rewind, whose densely-championed pedigree produces temperamentally settled dogs. The Welsh working line arrived via Fusion, chosen for the amazing working champions in her line and for sires that feature in the pedigrees of top-class working and agility champions. Dallas was added deliberately for the links to Int Sup Ch Roy and because Vic — his sire — was a fantastic and well-sought-after stud dog. Zak, the sire Kate used on Freak, shares a common ancestor (Tim) with Freak's own line, deliberately connecting those branches. Currently four proven stud dogs — Switch, Rewind, Dallas and Ghost — with Rippletrix Hell Raiser (Switch × Zombie) joining the roster when he matures and completes his health testing. Every pup is fully health tested to the recognised breed panel, BVA eye tested and BAER tested before leaving the yard. Every bitch is spayed after a single litter as breeder policy.
